The 14th week in NCKU

Time has gone by so fast—before I even realized it, the end of the semester is already here. It honestly feels like this semester flew by in a blink. But maybe that’s a good sign… maybe it means I’ve really been living life and being present 🙂‍↕️ Today marks the final blog post of this semester. I think I didn’t really notice it’s the last one because writing these posts has become such a smooth and natural part of my weekly routine. It just felt like journaling my life, like usual. But anyway, let’s get into this week’s recap: ‘25 5 19 Mon. Today was one week before the graduation performance, and I helped out with moving props with some friends. Watching everyone rehearse on stage made me feel so warm inside—they were all so adorable 🥹 But at the same time, I felt a little sad knowing that I won’t be seeing my friend Justin around anymore after this 😭😭 If anyone has time, please come see the graduation show! Personally, my favorite part is the Japanese group’s performanc...

The 13th week in NCKU

This semester feels like it’s gone by much faster than the last one… maybe because I’m slowly getting used to college life. Starting in May, my days have been getting fuller and fuller. First of all, the summer FLLD Camp prep officially started! And this week there’s also a volleyball match coming up. Even though everything is super busy, I’m actually really excited for it all🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ 25' 5 12 Mon. The week began with an assignment for our Literature class! My friends and I got up super early to film our project (a remake of  The Birthmark ). Waking up early was definitely tough, but I actually really enjoy being the director, so it turned out to be a fun and creative morning 🥸 Later that night, I went to a café with a friend (it’s open till 2 a.m.—perfect for late-night study sessions 😙). I was really looking forward to getting their mint chocolate milk, but my friend  didn’t let me order it  😠 So I ended up choosing the brown sugar milk instead. I stayed there...

About my film diary

Recently, I’ve seen so many people on Threads talking about the re-release of the film🎬 花束みたいな恋をした , which instantly reminded me of the time I went to see it in theaters back in March. That day was super fun—it turned out to be a Friday movie special at the Tainan Shin Kong Mitsukoshi theater, and the ticket only cost 88 NTD (such a crazy deal I almost cried😭😭😭). Since this memory suddenly came back to me, I decided to change things up for this week’s journal entry. I’m going to introduce five movies I really love! ‘25 5 5  🎬 TAKE1: Titanic Titanic  is hands-down my favorite movie of all time. Some of my friends have mentioned that they don’t think it’s  that exciting, but to me, everything about it—from the setting to the costumes to the story—is just so captivating…🚢 Also, I’m a sucker for anything classic, so  Titanic  is totally my vibe. I’m pretty sure everyone already knows the basic plot, but I especially love how the film portrays a tragic e...

About my week10&week11 in NCKU

Can’t wait to write this week’s blog🤩🤩 (Since I already finished the blog for the week we didn’t need to write one, the journal I uploaded last week was actually written during Week 8. How is it already Week 11 now?😭😭😭) Before I get into the details, I just want to say—I  really  love my life this semester…👉🏻👈🏻 Last week was suuuper fun, so I decided to start from Thursday😸! ‘25 4 24 thu. It was Shakespeare’s birthday today, so the Department of Foreign Languages held a birthday party for him 🥳🥳 (He’s 461 years old this year… 😑😐) But the best part? The party came with a free lunch—and it was delicious! I seriously wish Shakespeare could have like three birthdays a year or something. On Thursday night, I went shopping with Trinity to buy clothes because I wanted to wear something new for the volleyball tournament this weekend (okay… it was really just an excuse to spend money💸💸). We had tacos for dinner—so good! 🗺️ Location check-in of the day : 📍zeta📍dakou t...

About my (3/7)eighth week in NCKU

Another week, another blog post—but honestly, since NCKU life didn’t really kick off until Wednesday thanks to the long weekend, I wasn’t sure if I could write 600 words this time 😓 Let’s rewind a little to Tuesday. Because of the extended holiday, I didn’t head back to school until around 9:30 PM. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one with that brilliant idea—when I got to Tainan Station, the street outside was packed. I’d never seen that many people walking around there at the same time…😰 Now onto Wednesday, which I officially dubbed 🍜RAMEN DAY🍜. I had plans with Trinity, Jovanna, and Nia to visit a ramen place near school—📍 豚人拉麵 . I’d promised my new friend Chris (who works there) that I’d drop by and say hi, so I was extra hyped. Just knowing I’d get to eat ramen later made the whole day feel exciting—even the midterm for Introduction to Neuroscience in the afternoon didn’t scare me anymore. (BTW, the class sounds scary, but the exam was super chill—would recommend🌟👍🏻) I f...

About my seventh week in NCKU

This week’s Tainan life lasted only three days, and it’s already over. So now I’m trying to figure out how to fit these three days into 600 words 😐 (a big challenge for my blogging career 🤓). Actually, to be precise, my time in Tainan was less than three days. It should be more like two, because I only arrived on Monday afternoon and immediately headed back home right after class on Wednesday. I even thought I was here for a trip to Tainan… 😓😐 Let me start with Monday. Since last week’s 🥳🥳BIRTHDAY WEEK🥳🥳 was a bit too much fun, I had been feeling sleepy since the weekend 😵‍💫💤, and even on Monday, I was still in a half-asleep state. So, ridiculously, as soon as I got on the train, I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I was almost in Tainan already… 😑 I thought that after sleeping for so long, I’d feel refreshed, but after walking back to my dorm for fifteen minutes, I felt sleepy again (I even started to wonder if I could grow three more centimeters from all this sleep)....

About my BIRTHDAY WEEK in Tainan

This week was especially exciting because it was my birthday week! 🎂🥳     On Sunday, my high school friend came to Tainan to visit me, so I didn’t go home. Since she arrived around 4 PM, I spent the afternoon browsing a nearby album store and bought a BTS album, which made me super happy! For dinner, we went to a Japanese-style restaurant with a retro vibe, and the pudding 🍮 there was absolutely amazing—I think everyone in Tainan should try it at least once! In the evening, my friend surprised me with a customized birthday cake. The ocean-themed design on the outside and the Oreo-houjicha-flavored filling were both my favorites. I was really touched by this surprise… 🥹   On Monday, my friend and I continued exploring Tainan. For breakfast, we went to a brunch place that offered free coffee latte art! I asked for a Vanellope design, and it was so cute that I almost didn’t want to drink it. 😭😭 Our next stop was a unique photo booth with a baking kitchen th...
