The 13th week in NCKU

This semester feels like it’s gone by much faster than the last one… maybe because I’m slowly getting used to college life. Starting in May, my days have been getting fuller and fuller. First of all, the summer FLLD Camp prep officially started! And this week there’s also a volleyball match coming up. Even though everything is super busy, I’m actually really excited for it all🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

The week began with an assignment for our Literature class! My friends and I got up super early to film our project (a remake of
The Birthmark). Waking up early was definitely tough, but I actually really enjoy being the director, so it turned out to be a fun and creative morning 🥸
Later that night, I went to a café with a friend (it’s open till 2 a.m.—perfect for late-night study sessions 😙). I was really looking forward to getting their mint chocolate milk, but my friend
didn’t let me order it 😠 So I ended up choosing the brown sugar milk instead. I stayed there reading and reviewing for Thursday’s Spanish test… until we got kicked out by the staff. Classic.

After class ended at 3 p.m., Trinity and Jovanna came over to my dorm to chat. One thing led to another and we ended up watching a movie! Since the new
Detective Conan films were just released on Netflix, I picked my all-time favorite: The Phantom of Baker Street 🎬
After that, we went to a Vietnamese restaurant 📍好秘密we’re currently obsessed with 🍴 (seriously, their pho is
so good it makes me wanna cry 😭😭). I kind of hope no one else discovers it because it’s already way too popular…
We thought the night was over, but nope! The three of us talked so much that we ended up at the school track, chatting until 10 p.m.

25' 5 14 Wed.
Wednesday was a super uneventful day. After my morning class, I went back to the dorm to continue studying for Thursday’s exam and finished my final essay. That’s literally all I did (definitely the most boring day of the week). But it’s fine because just thinking about going to Kaohsiung tomorrow makes me happy 😚

25' 5 15 Thu.
I woke up feeling so happy today! Because of the exam, we didn’t really have class for Spanish, and right after class I headed to Kaohsiung! 😙
There’s not really a reason for this sudden trip—I’m just doing a personal challenge to visit Kaohsiung once every month (so far I’ve done 6 months straight). I also have a good friend studying there, so I used the chance to meet up and have dinner 🍽️
The mission for Thursday in Kaohsiung was to help my friend pick out a whole outfit, and then we went to eat at Kura Sushi 🍣 The current theme is Sanrio—it’s
so cute 😭😭😭 I like Pompompurin and my friend loves Cinnamoroll, but of course… we ended up getting Hello Kitty 😑
Still, it was a super fun day! These post-class 6-hour Kaohsiung speed trips always feel like a mini adventure.

After I got back to Tainan, I went to Trinity’s dorm. Jovanna and Nia were also there, and we ended up chatting for like three hours. I was so tired that I ended up falling asleep on Trinity’s bed.

25' 5 16 Fri.
In speaking class today, we discussed the topic of organ donation. The topics are getting deeper and more thought-provoking every week 😵‍💫 But I have to say—shoutout to Felix. His answer was
so perfect… I literally couldn’t think of a response!
After class, we had a script rehearsal for summer FLLD Camp. My friends and I practiced for about an hour, then ran off to watch the volleyball team practice 🏐 I hope they do well in their match tomorrow! 😙 So excited to go support them!

  1. Finally the familiar weekly update blog again. I’m thinking how good is that pho restaurant? Because you guys eat there so many times I actually lost count. Oh and all I can see is how hard you’ve been studying the Spanish exam, I’m still wondering if my answers were right, tho. She asked me, “What happened to you?” and I wrote “My hand hurts” 💀💀And also I wrote blanco vino instead of vino blanco, so please give me half the points 🤡🤡

  2. It seems like a wonderful Thursday especially you also went to K-Town. If I were u, I may stay at my home a whole day long. Actually, I admire that your much energy. U can always find something to do after class. I think I cannot do it because of a sense of tiredness.U need to wake up early in class and also take transportations to other city. It is very crazy
