About my seventh week in NCKU
This week’s Tainan life lasted only three days, and it’s already over. So now I’m trying to figure out how to fit these three days into 600 words 😐 (a big challenge for my blogging career 🤓). Actually, to be precise, my time in Tainan was less than three days. It should be more like two, because I only arrived on Monday afternoon and immediately headed back home right after class on Wednesday. I even thought I was here for a trip to Tainan… 😓😐
Let me start with Monday. Since last week’s 🥳🥳BIRTHDAY WEEK🥳🥳 was a bit too much fun, I had been feeling sleepy since the weekend 😵💫💤, and even on Monday, I was still in a half-asleep state. So, ridiculously, as soon as I got on the train, I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I was almost in Tainan already… 😑 I thought that after sleeping for so long, I’d feel refreshed, but after walking back to my dorm for fifteen minutes, I felt sleepy again (I even started to wonder if I could grow three more centimeters from all this sleep). After I got to my dorm, I took another nap for over an hour, then slowly made my way to the volleyball court for PE class. I remember Monday’s weather was great, not too hot or too cold, and I felt good walking to the court 👍🏻. We had our midterm in volleyball class, Winnie and I passed the test on the first try! So we spent the rest of the class chatting 😅, and I also talked a lot with some new friends. It was a really good mood!
Tuesday came. Although I’ve been hating Tuesdays for about half a year, just thinking that I could go home the next day filled me with motivation! Plus, I was really looking forward to a late-night snack time🥰 (an event I was excited about for socializing ✌🏻😀). Let me start with the Spanish class in the afternoon. We have this thing called an IRS remote control, and after we read the articles, we’re supposed to press a button for the answer”1-6”. However, Hannah and I thought Felisa (our Spanish professor) meant we should press “1” to indicate we’ve finished reading the article. As a result, both of us put "1" as the answer for all six questions 😅.
🗣️Felisa: "Why did everyone’s accuracy drop after reading the article?" (I sat there laughing awkwardly, feeling guilty...)
And that was how our slightly ridiculous Spanish class ended. In the afternoon, I accompanied my sick roommate, Kelly, to the doctor and dinner (I basically became her mom in Tainan 🙂↕️). Afterward, I started looking forward to the late-night snack time😙😙. Initially, I was supposed to meet with my foreign language camp acting team to eat together (a great way to get to know each other), but when I arrived at 11:30, only my partner and his friends were there, so I ended up having a great time with a group of second-year students! They were so fun, and it was just what I needed because I love meeting new people.
Finally, Wednesday came!!! Even though I stayed up too late chatting on Tuesday night and didn’t sleep until 3 a.m., I still woke up full of energy because I could go home today! The morning presentation in my speaking class was by my good friend Anita, but since there were only a few people in class, no one really asked her questions. I had some questions though, so I asked two of them :) I spoke a lot in class, probably because I was in a great mood 🤓. Later, in the literature class, many people skipped and went home, so the classroom was pretty empty. The professor probably called out everyone’s name in the class before someone answered 😐 (so of course, I got called on 😑). After class, I happily rushed back home, and the three days in Tainan came to a close. On the way back to Taichung, I slept the whole way—so comfortable!
I really enjoyed this week (well, actually, just these three days)—happy to go to school, and even happier to play and hang out with friends.
I don’t know how you can somehow remember all the details and everything that happened in your daily life and describe them so vividly. Because if you ask me what I did yesterday, I can’t even remember a single thing, I don’t even remember what I ate for breakfast. 😑💀 You must have a memory like Einstein or something.
回覆刪除And don’t even remind me of the Spanish class accident. I don’t know why but I truly thought that’s what she meant. (press 1 means you finish reading)
It seems like your Spanish class has quite a Spartan like approach in teaching, my roommate always complains about it as well. Quite different from the condition in German class, here everything is rather peaceful, I think I made a good choice in the beginning of the school year. But I believe the hard learning will pay off eventually, hang in there!
回覆刪除I admit that I don’t want to comment on your blog because I don’t exist in this one🙄🙄🫴 But indeed, I think we didn’t have much time with each other this week. KWENCHANA🙄🙄🦶I’m not quite excited about next week though because I don’t get to see scoups. HOW CAN I POSSIBLY LIVE WITHOUT SEEING HIM? HOW? Well, maybe I can since I’m not into him anymore👯♂️🫀By the way, if you don’t watch the reels I sent you, I think friendship will no longer exist between the two of us. Hey! I’ve been choosing to send you the ones that’s genuinely funny🙄🙎Seriously, I always watch them several times and I still laugh out loud in my dorm.
回覆刪除Although you have to take classes only two days this week, your article still looks very interesting! I was so excited about the holiday since this Monday haha. The mistake you made in the Spanish class was funny( I'm sorry but I like that story very much😭) I think I've become your fan for reading your blog about your life in Tainan. Like your article!
