The 14th week in NCKU

Time has gone by so fast—before I even realized it, the end of the semester is already here. It honestly feels like this semester flew by in a blink. But maybe that’s a good sign… maybe it means I’ve really been living life and being present 🙂‍↕️

Today marks the final blog post of this semester. I think I didn’t really notice it’s the last one because writing these posts has become such a smooth and natural part of my weekly routine. It just felt like journaling my life, like usual. But anyway, let’s get into this week’s recap:

‘25 5 19 Mon.

Today was one week before the graduation performance, and I helped out with moving props with some friends. Watching everyone rehearse on stage made me feel so warm inside—they were all so adorable 🥹 But at the same time, I felt a little sad knowing that I won’t be seeing my friend Justin around anymore after this 😭😭

If anyone has time, please come see the graduation show! Personally, my favorite part is the Japanese group’s performance—my friend Mark is in it and he did such an amazing job (and he’s super cute too 😸!). Also, they added a new prop this week: a vending machine! It looks so realistic and detailed—I honestly wanted to steal it 😂

After rehearsal, we went to grab some hot dogs at 📍歐爺熱狗堡🌭 Still so tasty, just like last time. But next time, I really need to remember to tell the owner not to add cilantro 🙂

(Oh and… technically the Japanese group’s rehearsal was on Tuesday, but Monday felt a bit boring, so I decided to move the most exciting part to Monday instead 😹)

‘25 5 20 Tue.

Today was a big day for all the couples out there 💑 But as a modern independent woman, I don’t need fancy dinners to feel fulfilled 😌 So today’s schedule was: school, more school, putting up posters for the graduation show on another campus, getting ice cream, and then—another rehearsal 😐

Unfortunately, my classmate Hannah had a stomach bug, so I ended up attending Spanish class all alone. It felt kind of lonely, but at least we spent most of the class going over the midterm, so it wasn’t too stressful 😹

On the way to put up the posters, I must’ve complained about Tainan’s weather at least 20 times. It was seriously so hot I couldn’t believe couples were actually out dating in that heat 😭 Like, love is strong… but that strong??? 😀

After we finished putting up posters, my personal driver (aka a very kind friend) took me for ice cream 🍧📍榕樹下噗味綿綿冰. It was super good—definitely recommend it! The place is always crowded in the summer, and they have so many flavors that I took forever to decide 😵

‘25 5 21 Wed.

A pretty uneventful day overall… nothing much happened. OH WAIT actually—something weird did happen tonight. On our way to the track to take a walk, my friends and I were followed by this really creepy person who randomly started yelling at us 😅 It felt like something straight out of a horror dream…

We were so freaked out that we just started running down the road until we got back to campus. By the time we made it through the gate, we were literally out of breath and panting for a solid three minutes 😮‍💨 Looking back, it’s kind of funny… but also kind of terrifying 😭

‘25 5 22 Thu.

Today was packed with activities after school! First, I went with Trinity to buy a birthday cake, and of course… I ended up buying an extra slice for myself because the mille crepe cake in the display case looked way too good to resist 😭🍰

After that, we spontaneously decided to have dinner at 📍藏壽司🍣 (yes… this is the third time I’ve eaten there this month. All for those Sanrio capsule toys 😅) Eating with Trinity is always fun—we have endless things to talk about, and our food preferences are surprisingly similar. I really enjoy eating with her (I hope she feels the same and this isn’t just me being delulu 😞).

Later that night, we went to a super cool café 📍裁縫師咖啡. It’s open until 2 AM and is entirely outdoors, so it feels like you’re on a mini camping trip. The vibe is super chill and cozy—perfect for late-night chats. The prices are a little high, but honestly, it’s worth it for the atmosphere. We stayed there talking until 2:30 AM, and the staff didn’t even try to kick us out. So nice 🥹🥹

And that’s a wrap on Week 14—still one of my favorite weeks, even though it came with the bittersweet feeling of “the last blog post.” I can’t believe this is the end already. I’ve really loved writing these little updates, and even if they were just about small everyday things, they helped me appreciate my own life a little more each week. Hopefully, I’ll find time to keep updating in the future too! 🥰

  1. Time passes soooo fast that I still feel like I am just a freshman. I also like to record my life in my book even though there is nothing special. For me, recording my life is very important because this helps me cherish everything I encounter and thinks more about myself. By the way, I am looking forward to watching their performance! It sounds really interesting.

  2. Your schedule is always so busy and full of joyful moments, I feel both happy and exhausted just reading about it. Also, I’m terribly sorry for leaving you alone in Spanish class. But you’re strong. You’ve survived every time. (And now I just realized… next Tuesday you’ll be gone for the graduation performance?! And I’ll have to face Spanish class alone this time. I’m literally shaking right now.)

  3. Yeah, same for me as well, this semester flew by so quickly and now I'm already near the end of my freshman year. I remember seeing Monsters University and thinking how mature I would become by the time I reach college, but now I'm already older than Mike Wazowski. Time really does slip by when your not paying attention.

  4. I think that your schedule is too busy that I cannot handle it if I were u. However, your schedule is full of joyful and happy which made me admire because I think my schedule is full of boring stuff and tired things. Also, I need to spend much time on camp of university . For , me, now, only fun things maybe is the practicing of basketball and having dinner with friends
